Hi,
i have had some issues with a buyer, I sold a piece of jewellery that was an unwanted gift, I had no proof of purchase, no branded packaging and I was unable to confirm if the item was a genuine branded piece or not, which I had stated to the buyer. I informed them the item is as per the pictures, with the packaging as per pictures. All I wanted was the market price for silver of that weight which obviously reflected in the price. The pice was hallmarked and I had cleaned it with sliver cleaner, it tarnished as per silver and I informed the buyer of this before selling the item. The buyer received the goods and opened a dispute with PayPal stating I was a liar and a fraud, was threatening and abusive. I explained my point to PayPal and they stated I had to give a full refund on the grounds the item was not in the condition as described.. which I don't believe to be true, I gave a full refund and now the buyer has left negative feedback again stating I'm a fraud and a liar. I have reported them to Ebay and had no reply. Surely as a seller we have more rights than to put up with abusive and threatening buyers? I never get a reply from Ebay. I would be really grateful of some advice and help on how to get the negative feedback removed. I only ever sell unwanted items occasionally and feel this is really unfair considering I was nothing but honest!
Thanks
Hello,
There is never a reason for bad language and abuse, so have as little communication with this person as possible, they will eventually stop.
You say a case was opened, did you receive your item back, a refund should not be given until you receive your item.
One good thing, you can call eBay CS, Customer Service and ask for that feedback to be removed, as it mentions an eBay refund, that is against the rules. Go to Help & Contact tab top of this page and into bar type Feedback Removal Request follow prompts to Call Us. You could report at the same time the abusive messages, though I'm not too certain anything will be done, and you certainly would not be informed of any action taken.
Put this person on your blocked buyers list so they do not try and buy from you again. Account tab >> Site Prefs >> Blocke Buyers who ..... Show / Edit / buyer exemption list link >> Add ID >> Submit
