I am trying to close a case as the item has turned up. I get transferred to the USA site (all prices in dollars) and an error message telling me there is a problem with eBay.
How are you trying to cancel? In the RESOLUTION CENTRE AT foot of page? If that doesn't work then all you can do is try later, but I suspect you are trying to close the wrong way.
Case will close on its own so long as you don't escalate, but it needs closing to release money to the seller.
I have not escalated the case which appears to be completly screwed up as the robot help system informs me thaat the case was found in my favour and i will be refunded. Odd that as i did not escalte the case, i pressed the close case link. Also, no refund decision is marked against the item and no refund has been received. No agents available at ebay. I'll try them again in the morning.
