Is there anything I should do about a buyer using offensive language because I won't ship outside the UK? There was some sort of slip up in the sytem which allowed the transaction to go through even though I don't sell internationally. Contacted customer services and they were mystified as to how it happened as well. I contacted the buyer and appologised and sent a full refund. They messaged me back with abuse - not very nice!
Quite simply, if you only have domestic UK postage on your listings then only buyers with a UK address can pay, but -
A buyer residing in a country you don't post can buy and pay if they have a UK address to post to and that should be on the PayPal payment notification.
but he obviously doesn't like the UK anymore......
Well in 11 days or so we will not like the Belgians, French and so on ...
It's likely that when we buy or sell then duty and VAT will be payable as an extra
It's sad and unpleasant but it says more about the buyer! In view of the fact that the buyer is abroad there is little realistic that you can do even if the abuse is - for example - racist or threatening. You could possibly contact eBay through "help and contact" above
You could print it off perhaps and send it to the local police with his details and a complaint.
