Inspection before buying ..............How ?

Please can anyone tell me how a potential buyer can view an item before they purchase said item ?

Did give out my address only to get a "snotty" letter from Ebay threatening suspension 

Surely Mr Ebay does realise that buyers want to feel quality / size / condtion before buying ........................but how can they if I dont inform them just where the iem is

Viewing before purchase is no longer allowed. This is to prevent buyers and sellers from making private sales to evade payment of eBay's fees.

You need to bid for the item unseen. Then, if it isn't as described when you collect it, ask the seller to send you a cancellation request (which will also get the seller's selling fee returned).

This isn't a satisfactory situation for either party. One problem is that sellers may open an unpaid item case instead - either because they're indignant that you rejected the item, or simply to block you from leaving negative feedback.

Whatever the reason, an unpaid item case would leave you with a non-payment strike. All you can do is phone eBay customer support, and hope they will remove it.
