How to make a general inquiry?

Geeez-us,

how hard is it! to make a general inqury on Ebay!!!

About a week ago I refunded a buyer £17.00 after the item was lost in the post.

But today I see I have been charged another £17.00 if you add the cost up inc the item, that's £51.00, Im down by!

I tried contacting ebay though the help & contact link but was sent on the round about, ending with:did this help?

I gave up and went through Paypal customer services, they got back to me in less than 30 mins and aknowledge I had been charged twice.

Unfortunetly though they said they couldn't do anything about it and advised me to contact Ebay, but I still cant find a way to send them a message.

Ive tried loading the item in the seach section, and found it, but none of the options are relevant to my issue nor do they lead anywhere to help me with my problem.

I tried manually going though the customer help section but to no avail.

Why cant they make it easy like when contacting a buyer or seller, or how paypal and other sites do it.

I know they want to vent out time wasters etc, but his is ridiculous , is there really no way to make a general enquiry that is unatached to any case, purchasing or selling scenario?

can anyone help please?

I am a ebayer since 2014, but still struggle with contacting ebay regaurding general enquires. : (

Thanks.

happy new year all.

how did you refund the buyer?

did you go through the original payment, or did you send them a separate payment?

if you sent a separate payment and then cancelled through ebay, ebay will have refunded the original payment, as that's how it is set up to work.

this is user error(that's you) and the only way to get the payment back is to contact the buyer and ask them to return it, as you sent them the money voluntarily and ebay/paypal can't force them to give it back.

Ebay don't give there email address freely so best to phone them tomorrow, see here http://ocsnext.ebay.co.uk/ocs/cuhome
