How to end a pickup-only item

I have recently sold two items on a pick-up-only basis. The buyer paid me cash on pick up.My first item was a lounge suite which sold within 24 hours of listing.A couple came to look, liked it so paid me a deposit.I immediately ended the listing but by doing so failed to go through the ebay system and had my wrists slapped.Shortly after I sold a full-size spare wheel in the same manner and, once again, very quickly. Not wishing to be blacklisted by ebay I spoke to an Asian gentleman on how to end my listing properly. He had difficulty understanding what I was tryng to do but eventually I felt he had got the message and said he would end my listing. However,I have just had another person wishing to buy my wheel. What is the sequence after pressing the "end now" button to end a listing that has sold?

Hello John,

The correct way to complete a cash on collection is for the buyer to First click on the Buy it Now or win the auction.  The item is then sold and goes into your sold listings.  After they pay cash,  go to the right of the item sold, and from More Actions drop down menu select  Mark as Paid and Mark as Dispatched.  This way eBay are paid their fees,  and the sale is above board.
