The attach photo option is just below the message box on the righthandside.

To send an email with an attached photo:

  1. Click the Attach photos button in the message you're writing

  2. Select the picture or pictures saved on your computer that you want to send. You can choose up to 5 pictures

Note: pictures you send through My Messages need to meet the following requirements:

    • They must be no larger than 5MB

    • Each must be at least 500 pixels on the smallest side (length or width)

    • Each much be in one of the following formats: JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG or TIF

  3. When you're finished writing your message, click the Send button

The ask seller a question link in the original listing should still work, otherwise just right click their username which will give the option to send them a message.

You haven't said why they want a photo. It may simply be to decide whether they want the item to be returned. But keep in mind that it isn't their decision whether to refund you. It's eBay's. And don't be talked into letting discussions drag on until it's past the 30 day time limit to open a case.

When an item isn't as described you should go to the resolution centre and open a case under eBay's money back guarantee: http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/

A case must be opened within 30 days after the actual (or latest estimated) delivery date. If still unresolved after 8 days the option will appear to escalate the case for eBay to step in. If the seller wants their item back eBay will enable them to send you a prepaid return label (this applies to UK returns only). Be sure to escalate the case, and and don't agree to close it before you have your refund.
