How long to pay for an item

If I buy it now on an item could I pay for it 4 days later or do I need to buy it now

If the seller has chosen immediate payment on a buy it now, you will have no choice.  Otherwise, the polite thing to do would be to ask the seller first, rather than leave him in limbo not knowing what's happening.  If he says no, don't buy.
