How do I stop the bloody app hijacking from the browser on my phone?

Every time I y and look at eBay on my phone the bloody app takes over and makes it harder and more annoying and I can't make it stop. Do I really have to delete eBay app so I can use eBay again? The irony. Please how do I disable the auto opening of the app??

I assume that would be a phone setting, but my advice would be to delete the app!
