How do I delete announcements

Have just gone into announcements only to find out they go back years,, HOW DO I DELETE THESE ANNOUNCEMENTS never read them anyway,, thanks

There are many people who have come unstuck with various problems because they don't read the announcements.  We are still getting people after 3 years, who are furious about fees being charged on postage. The didn't know because they had not read the announcement.
