How do I contact eBay to enter return details when my case has been closed before the deadline?

I have posted my product to return it but cannot enter the tracking details which need to provided by today 5 July 2021.  I've just received an email saying the case is closed because I haven't provided the details-even though it's only 8pm on 5/7/21.

How can I contact someone to enable me to enter the required details?

To contact eBay, go to "Help & Contact" or "Contact us" at the top or bottom of almost every page. Customer support may be slow, and during the pandemic is limited to callback or live chat.

I'm afraid that it will probably get you nowhere. EBay is inflexible on time limits, and I think you will find that the case time limit is counted, to the second, from the time it was opened. Not to the close of the day. Good luck, anyway!

 

It's probably closed the same time it was opened but it always worth having a go.   Click on "eBay Help", top right of page (or from My eBay pages it's "Help & Contact", top left).   Scroll down to "Contact Us" and click on that.   Select a topic, the nearest or any topic.   On the next page, on the lefthand side you should get a link for "Chat with us".   You may have to select different topics until you get the chat link.
