Getting shutl paid items into the postal system

Living out in a rural location our nearest  royal mail post office is quite a few miles away.

Also having  health issues i really try to avoid long queue's  or being with lots of people for any length of time.

So i have started to use the ebay shutl pay and print your own labels for sold items thinking its more convenient for me to just walk up the road where we have a royal mail red post box and put any relevant size items in there for collection.   (obviously this only applies to mainly large letter size items)

Then i read from an old ebay community thread dated from 2014  to 2018 that you should nt do that.

If i still have to take them to the post office and wait in the queue's then there isnt any point me using shutl.

Any advice would be appreciated ?
