GSP Returns.

Hi all,

This is my first post to the eBay community and i am just looking to get a bit of advice.

I sold an item on the 20th of November through the eBays GSP. I sent the item to the GSP using Royal Mail after which as i read it Pitney Bowes are then responsible for the item being delivered is this right? As in they accept full responsilibty for getting the item to my buyer in the condition it was sold in?

The item in question was fully tested working and i even had pictures of the item in working order on the listing. The item eventually arrived with my buyer only to have them contact me 24 hours later telling me of how the item was not working. My big question here is where do i go for insurance claims purposes, Royal Mail, eBay, PayPal or Pitney bowes directly? On one of the advice fourms it states that if you use a postage courier to get your item to the GSP you should claim with that courier and with the GSP.

I've tried looking up information on this and it seems to be scarce at the very best, which is rather irriating.

If there is anyone out there who could help i'd really appreciate it.

Regards,

L

Hi

If the item does not arrive or arrives in a damaged condition you need to ask the buyer to open a case for whichever it is and then within those case details state that this item was sold via the GSP and therefore eBay need to step in and take over the case.

If the item is received in a good condition at the GSP depot then it is their responsiblity to forward it on to your buyer in the same condition, you are the seller have fulfilled your obligations by getting it to the depot in good condition.
