I may have missed the mail about this but yet another way for Ebay to increase costs to sellers
It will limit the number of items for sale as I will ONLY advertise items that have a good chance of selling rather than items that may sell on the offchance
Added to the P&P charges which are a liberty, Ebay is starting to become less interesting for sellers and that can only be bad on the whole
Appreciated that I now get an extra 100 listings per month but surely Ebay would be better advised to retain the free relists as this keeps more items in circulation
I will NOT relist if I am forced to pay as so rather than Ebay faining MORE money by people paying for relists, Ebay will actually lose money based on relisted otems not selling and sellers paying the final fees?!?
Up to the Individual I guess but I will be looking elsewhere as a seller and if a multitiude of people do this, I will also have to look elsehwere to buy as the item count will be reduced
have a nice day

PS - I CANNOT seem to reply to the replies to me message but to dispute the 1st reply, I have just bought 1x2W 12Kohm capacitor form Thailand which is essential to repair my Rega Planar record deck and i have been looking for 2 years in UK. If that seller now decides to ONLY list best seller iotems, then many people that use Ebay to find these lost items will be dismayed so I do not agree that clearing out non-selling items is the answer - these arethe GEMS of Ebay - I have bought recently, an AirCon pump for a 1998 Lexus - sure he dont sell many!,
These are just 2 examples form a very long list of odd bits and pieces - trench Art items, Bonsai accessories, noteveryone sells daily used items and this is the joy - your personal experience may be different but that is NOT in my opinion the general pattern.
If you take all the junk shops out of the High street, you end up with what you now have - 5 or 6 national chains and a shedloa dof cafes and £1 shops all selling same stuff - why bother with Ebay at all?
The free relist was only a promotion , it really has not been a feature of selling for any long period of time. You will still be able to relist free but it will come out of your 20 monthly free listing quota.
