I bought a branded item and was sent a dangerous fake. I contacted the seller who offered a £1 refund. I refused, opened a return and the address for the returns label doesn't exist in the UK. It's a scam. I've only lost £5 but this seller is operating illegally and is probably raking it in. There are numerous poor reviews re fake items. How do I get my money back and report these scam artists to Ebay?
Who sent the return label? Seller or Ebay?
If seller, then escalate the Not As Describe case to ebay. I hope that is the sort of case you opened, if not then you have to pay for return postage. If you escalate then ebay will provide a Return Label at sellersxpense.
I cannot believe that Ebay has a Fake address loaded, as you return to an address that ebay provides and you don't even need proof of delivery proof of attempted delivery is good enough.
If none of this works, then you will have to speak to ebay and explain that seller has a fake address, and if that is the case when you went to the Post Office they would not accept it.
Make sure you eventually leave Negative Feedback.
Their London Business Address does not exist. Report to Trading Standards. Did you not Escalate the Case for Ebay to Step in? If a bogus Address EBay would have Refunded you.
Try opening an Item Not As Described Case with PayPal. Log in and find Resolve a Problem down the left hand side. Escalate the Case after 2 days but before 20 days.
