Faulty Drone

Hello,

I'd be really grateful if someone could help me. I bought a drone three months ago on ebay. After showing my video footage to a friend, they said there was a fault with my gimbal so i sent it to have an inspection. The inspection report found multiple faults ,which they can trace back to a crash it had before I bought it, and it looks like the previous owner had attempted to fix it.

I have tried to contact both the seller and ebay about this but because I'm outside of the 60 days, its proving impossible. The repairs will come to £230 which is nearly as much as the drone cost me so I'm really hoping I can resolve this in some way, and warn others about the seller too as he has good feedback from me. Any ideas on what I should do?

Many thanks,

Tasha

Hello Tasha,

Neither eBay nor Paypal offer warranties,  or guarantees that items will be fit for purpose,  months down the line,  only that they are as described on receipt,  if not,  there are 30 days to claim a full refund under eBay's 30 day MBG.

If you bought this from a Private seller,  there is no redress for any refund,  it is too late to claim.

If bought from a regustered UK business who is now not upholding any guarantee they offered,  then Trading Standards and Citizens Advice are your next moves here.
