I want to complain about several venders who selling LED lamps for vehicles. BTW, I am an Electrical Engineer so please note. The correct electrical term for a device that gives off light is a LAMP. Bulbs (an American term) are what you put in the ground to grow tulips and daffodils.
First, many vendors frequently miss-quote lamp’s base type as suitable for H1, H3, H4, H7, & HB2 or some other reference (i.e. base is how lamp fits into light shell). Lamps cannot have multiple base types at same time. Unless sold with adaptor, which I not seen listed in spec.
Second, lamp is either a headlight (i.e. twin beams) or a fog/spotlight (i.e. single beam). I know some headlight now use a single lamp for each beam, but headlights and fog-lights have different beam patterns.
Thirdly, they often mix technological types by stating lamps both LED and Xenon or Tungsten. These technologies completely different from each other and cannot be mix. So page headline total sales gibberish.
Finally, if lamp has twin beams, they must specify each beams individually power output (i.e. either in lumens or watts). In addition, must NOT quote total power for both lamps plus both beams in pack, as if it one lamps output. Must quote power for an individual lamp and each separate beam if applicable. When buying a four pack of household lamps. Pack state’s power of individual lamps inside (i.e. 100W), not total power of all lamps in pack (i.e. 400W). \
As most cheap LED vehicle lamps made in China. As usual, China does not use internationally recognised standards. They fudge spec to sound impressive. However, lamps sold or manufacture in west DO quote lamps power correctly. Does no one check vendors’ not falsely advertising on website?
I noticed spec quoted by different vendors appears to be identical. As if a lot of copying and pasting going on. Alternatively, maybe it really just one vender using multiple accounts (i.e. Chinse Government). I already sent two lots of vehicle LED lamps back from different vendors. As LED lamps did not meet expectations as advertised. Then harassed me to change my review when I give a poor review based on false advertising and selling a sub-standard product.
All listings say "Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing."
Ebay don't see item, so has no way of knowing if details are correct,
but if there is a problem you are covered by ebay MBG.
