Ending bidding and giving PayPal details

Hi 

I've been contacted by two different buyers who want to purchase my item. They've contacted me & asked me to send them my PayPal name, email & item number and to end the bidding. Can you do this? Is it safe? And what is stopping them using the buy it now option? 

Any my advice would be most welcome.

They are trying to scam you/encourage you to do an off ebay deal.

You could either ignore them and block them.  Or message them and decline their requests courteously and blocked them.
