I was looking at RCD plugs today and saw multiple listings for item that had dangerous not UK legal mains plugs on. Ironic for devices that are supposed to keep people safe. Is there any way of reporting the listings? The reporting method in the listings is all drop down menus, none of which seem to fit the circumstances.
The items are things like "UK Home Safety RCD Socket Adaptor Circuit Breaker 13A Cutout Plug Trip Switch".
The plug has no fuse, the edge of the plug is too close to the pins and I'd be very suprised if that cable is anywhere near capable of carrying 13 amps for any length of time given it's size estimated against the size of the plug pins.
Any market stall or high street shop selling these would soon have a visit from council trading standards and the goods confiscated.
There is no realistic way to "report" these. If you have bought one then - of course - you can use the money back guarantee. Even [underfunded] trading standards will not be very interested these days
The problem ids the sellers are in China, not governed by UK trading standards, eBay sell nothing, they are just an advertising platform, if you buy these then you as the importer are the one liable under uK law
