Ebay advertising

Is it just me? The ads that ebay plaster on every single page that you use, watch list, purchase history etc just seem to keep getting bigger. At first they were tolerable, but they have now got so bad that the banner covers almost a third of my screen. It's also annoying as, when you switch screens, say when you are relisitng, you are just about to click on the box saying 'Relist' when the display suddenly jumps to allow the ad banner to come in.

Does anyone know if there is anything we can do about it? Such as make it smaller? I'm pretty sure there won't be a way to remove it altogether (and I do appreciate that it's an additional source of revenue for Ebay). Though I would have thought the revenue they get by charging both buyers and sellers in various ways would be more than enough!
