I sold a large dresser/wall unit. I requested cash on collection ( to make sure buyer happy with purchase) but buyer paid immediately.
Buyer asked for suitable this week day collection days for a courier which I gave -- then buyer said courier could only do Sundays so I agreed Sunday (16th) collection. Buyer now informs me it must be a Monday (17th) collection which is not suitable as no one at home!! The rest of the week is busy and we go away the weekend after.
The unit is heavy and will need 2 people to put into van so I want my husband to be at home when collected,
I have asked buyer to ask courier to call me which might be easier to arrange between ourselves!
I am in no rush for unit to be collected but how long do I give her to arrange collection? How long can I expect her to wait for a convenient collection date for both of us?
Suppose buyer requests refund- if collection proves too difficult--would I have to refund the full amount she paid or the reduced amount I received after ebay fees??
Thanking you for your advice.
The buyer should not be arranging a courier
Collection items should be collection in person
If you have to refund then you refund all the original payment
You get your fees back minus 30p
You should only cancel a sale with the agreement of the buyer
If you just refund then you could ay the fees and a defect on your account
