Charged for removing a listing??

I listed a military cap at a starting bid of £150, a potential bidder removed his bid and told me he thought the item was fake, in case he was right, I removed the item from ebay to investigate. In my latest invoice I find I have been charged 10% for removing the item, even though I was doing it out of honesty. This surely can't be right????

Items that have bids and are removed you pay the final value fees at the price of the highest bid

Ebay brought it in to stop off ebay sales of members removing items to sell off ebay

You say potential bidder, but had he actually bid ?  Ebay do not charge when you remove a listing unless there are bids.

If you used any listing upgrades, such as adding BIN to an auction or adding a reserve, these are non refundable.

Go to "account >> all activity >> fees" for a full breakdown of what you have been charged for.
