Car not as described

Took a chance on buyer description of car. No problems. Etc. Texted private to ask again if any problems.
Due to town of purchase going to tier 4 I couldn’t collect. Arranged a trailer delivery. Car arrived. Bad noise on engine not disclosed. Checked with PayPal ebay on the not as described section to be told. Cannot help. Do we have any redress at all. Small claims court ? Seller doesn’t want to know.

vehicles are not covered by ebay or paypal

you are on your own with this,

if the seller is registered as a business you might be able to take them to court,

if they are a private seller you can't

nope, vehicles are not covered by the MBG, buyers are supposed to thoroughly inspect the car before handing over their money
