Buying from China

On 18th March I searched under UK only for some hand sanitiser.   I purchased one litre and immediately found it came from China with a delivery date of May/June.   I contacted the seller and asked to cancel and for a refund.   I have done this three times since and there is no answer.   I  have tried to contact ebay resolution centre but there is no way to do so at the moment.   No phone contact nor any email address.    I am only told to contact the seller - who will not answer!!!!    Can anyone recommend what I can do next?    Thanks for your help.

If the delivery date is so far in the future, you are going to have problems.

Unless seller cancels the purchase, you cannot open a Not received case until after the estimated delivery date, or you will have to post back at your expense to get a refund.

Chances are that nothing will be sent, seller may not even have any to sell, but the long delivery date means that it will be weeks before you find out.

• There is NO RIGHT OF CANCELLATION on eBay

• You can ask the seller, but they have already been charged fees & may have lost other potential buyers as a result of your actions so they may not agree

• If the seller was a UK registered business then you will have the right to return the goods by a tracked service at your own expense for a refund

• Bidding is a serious matter & changing your mind simply is not grounds to cancel

• It is likely that the seller will open an unpaid case to get their fees refunded & you would then earn an unpaid strike.......

• If that happened again within 12 months then many sellers will refuse to deal with you

Not a lot you can do.

You should have checked delivery date before buying.

1 day after estimated delivery date open item not received case, escalate on day 9,

ignore seller saying wait.
