Good Morning To You All
I Am now coming up close to 300 feedback and might i add its all at 100% positive on which i actually pride myself on that as the buyers who have purchased from me have been extremely satisfied with every item they have received from me and so i sold a pair of oakley sunglasses to a buyer and as i usually do i inspect every single item before listing it and before despatching the item. 5 Days have now passed and i get a message from the buyer basically claiming and i quote "There is a scratch on the lens that was not described on the lisiting, so instead of making a claim i would like a partial refund of £20 just so you can keep your positive feedback in order", so that was the message from him so he is basically holding me to ransom threatening to leave me negative feedback and ruin my reputation if i do not send him a partial refund and so instead off that i offered him a full refund on return of the sunglasses and i kindly asked if i could get a photo off the actual scratch that is on the lens?, and his reply was simple that the camera on his phone is rubbish and it does not pick up the scratch but he assures me it is there although i can categorically say the lenses were pristine when i sent them.I have not had a reply in such so he has gone ahead and now made a claim against me on which i have accepted on return off the sunglasses but regardless i am extremely annoyed at this as this is definitely a case of Defamation of character and i will not tolerate this i will not be bullied by this buyer
So ebay always sides with the buyer correct me if im wrong? so because of this i am going to report this buyer not only to ebay but also in terms of cyber bullying because as i sated i will not be bullied i will not be intimidated by him nor will i feel threatened by some guy who obviously just does not like the sunglasses and wants a return
this sale really has affected me and really put doubts whether or not to continue using ebay as a whole
If you sell on here fot any length of time, you may well come across a ' bad apple' in the pack, thankfully most buyers are honest!
Unfortunately, eBay cannot physically see any item to judge who is telling the truth, so the only option then, is to bring everything back to square one, that is, item back to seller, refund back to buyer. Yes, as a seller you are out on postage cost, just add this to the starting prices of other items, so you are not out of pocket.
Never ask for photographs in a case like this, it does not help matters.
After the case is finalised, you can contact eBay CS , draw attention to that message, you will not know of any action they may take, but hopefully they will record it, so if reported again, they will take action for abuse of their MBG.
