Brushing scam

Hi, I appear to be being a victim of a brushing scam. In the last week I have had 3 parcels delivered to me and my address that I have not ordered. There is no invoice slip and there is an eBay reference. I am trying to get hold of eBay customer support but no one is ringing me and the number on the website is incorrect

You get eBay by using "help and contact" at top of page. there is no way currently that you can ring ebay.  I very much doubt that eBay will give you any details of the seller nor will they understand how "brushing" works.  Nor do I for that matter ...

Ark......basically you are sent loads of items out of the blue. What usually happens is......false excellent reviews are left for the product sent by the seller. Usually very low value items. Like plant seeds etc of very dodgy origin. The advice was to immediately bin them as no one really knew what was in the "seeds packets". Google it. I only know a bit about it as it was on Rip Off Britain.

Why does the seller send anything at all though? They could get fake reviews without doing that.

From what i know (and not 100% about the scam) it seems that the seller sets up an account using the buyers details (usually on Amazon) then purchases some item (which may not necessarily what the innocent party receives)  and leaves a glowing review for the seller . They think that people will be more inclined to believe the review if its from "a real person" .
