Bidding

I have just caught the end of an item for bidding I bid 20.05 and a message came up saying bid more as not highest bidder and then item sold. But sold for under 20.00. Is anyone able to tell me why???? 🤔Thanks

either you bid too late for the bid to register or it wasn't a full increment above the highest bid
