Bidding on item from outside U.K.

Hi ,

I have been buying on eBay for years without any problems at all even though my primary residence is in France I have had things delivered to my parents U.K. address and picked them up as and when . Yesterday I tried to bid on an item where the seller stipulated that there was only U.K. delivery and all attempts to bid were blocked . This has never happened before so I want to know what has changed in eBay policy .....

Kind regards

Liz

Nothing has changed.

EBay enables sellers to block bids from bidders registered in countries to which they don't deliver.

You're registered in France, and this seller clearly doesn't deliver to France.

The scheme doesn't allow for the situation where a buyer may have a secondary delivery address in another country.

All you can do is contact the seller and see whether they're willing to deliver it to your parents' address. It's possible that the seller has also blocked messages from blocked bidders, in which case you won't be able to do this.
