Bidding on an item.

Hi

Just wondered if this had happened to other bidders.

I was bidding on and item of which i was highest bidder, I had a limit of what i could afford being £260 with 3 seconds to go a private bidder bid, in the excitement i bid what i thought was £261 and i thought i had won item. However the private bidder had infact made a bid of £460 and i won the bid at £461, could not believe what i saw. Contacted the seller immediately to cancel the bid, but they wont accept a cancellation, have been very unhelpful and threatening.

They have now opened  non payment dispute.

sorry, but you bid that much so the seller has every right to open a non payment case if you don't pay,

there's a big difference between 261 and 461, it's not as if the two numbers are next to each other and you accidently hit the 4 instead of the 2

one non payment strike won't hurt you,

just don't make a habit of it
