Bid retractions

Hi

Since the beginning of lock down I have had an increased amount of bid retractions, I guess some people are treating eBay as a game to relieve their boredom.

The reason is always 'entered wrong amount' but usually the retraction is days after the bid and they never enter the 'correct amount'

It's wreaking my auctions as it seems to put off genuine buyers and I need to get it sold because I have too much stuff!!

I add these bidders to my blocked bidder list but there used the be a way to report them ( for all the good it did) but I can't find that option, also it used to be possible to see if a bidder has a history of bid retractions but I can't find that either.

Is there a way to set buyer requirements to block buyers with a history of bid retractions the only option I can find is to block buyers with a  history of not paying?

Thanks for any advice 🙂

eBay always supports buyers before sellers, who are expected to protect their account themselves.

Bids on eBay are generally regarded as binding, but buyers can retract bids within limits:

http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?RetractBidShow

Invalid bid retractions can be reported:

To see a member’s history of bid retractions check their feedback received as a buyer.

Look to the right of the page, under ‘Left for others’.

unfortunately there's no way to block regarding bid retractions.

No excuse but one possible reason for retractions is that a buyer later notices you are using Global Shipping with its exorbitant charges, example -

£3 pair of very light socks with Global postage of £12 to Eire.
