Additional postage costs

I’ve recently bought an item that was offered with postage costs of £6.
After I paid for the item (including postage) the Seller has contacted me stating that the actual postage cost has exceeded £6 and has asked if I will pay the extra £7?!?
I don’t see why I should.
Advice appreciated.

You don't have to pay any more than on the listing, the seller needed to have listed with correct p&p...but needs to take it on the chin if he's under estimated it, we've all done it.

If you're feeling particularly benevolent you could offer to pay a proportion of it but otherwise just state that you look forward to receiving your item
