I have been asked to update my account details ie Bank account .... the money that I am owed has not been paid into my account ..... I updated my details days ago ... and still I have not been paid out??? Why is Ebay holding onto my money.???

eBay is not holding your money.

Under eBay's Managed Payments,  

eBay then first take their fees from money received from a sale, and send the remainder to your nominated bank account. This takes 1 - 2 business working days.

Your bank then takes 1 - 4 business working days to process those funds, before they become available for you to withdraw.
