Weather here is approaching winter at times - hail one moment, sunny but freezing another!
I can't believe it's May in a day or so.
29-04-2013 8:28 AM
Yes, such changeable weather, looks like it will be cold again over my side of the hill.:-(

Sunshine most of the day here in Norwich:-x
Had a lovely time at Lowestoft, they have done some updating of the camp, not sure about the self catering aspect of the chalets, they have installed a sink, fridge, microwave and table in every chalet and frankly some of the chalets were not very big before they did that:^O
30-04-2013 9:36 PM
Wow, sunshine for you Cazz, so pleased,:-x shame though about the new thingies in the chalets, you need legroom too.:^O
There was some sunshine over my side of the hill but it didn't get too warm, but nice to see it though. 😄

Am seriously harassed today. Finally took plunge and bought new laptop to replace creaking but familiar old one. ......
I HATE WINDOWS 8 !!!
I can't find anything, or close anything I do find, and as for prodding the corners of the screen with the cursor?
I ain't going to be beaten by it but don't be surprised if you see smoke is coming from my cell, and don't walk past my windows in case you are hit by a flying laptop! Mr Dragon has gone out, probably to escape from me growling and muttering!

Apparently you can install classic shell to make it more user friendly Dragon x

I've been told there are various things I can do to make it better, but I need to get my head round what's there to begin with before I start meddling with it all! I've read various reviews, and collected a lot of tips, and 'hot keys 'that will help. Still not pleased that after around 40 years computing, they have made something that is so frustratingly bad.

Nothing worse than having to learn all new again.
I so like Windows XP, and on buying a new laptop a while back 'Windows 7', I was stumped with the workings of it all.
Eventually I managed to get another laptop Windows XP, still using it now.

I've survived Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista, but am just gobsmacked at how impractical 8 is, it isn't logical to have a laptop pretending to be a touchscreen tablet.

I wish I could offer some practical help for you.
I wonder if maybe you posted in Computing Advice & Technology Chat

Looks like Microsoft have backed down, looks like they are going to address a lot of the complaints people are having in coming updates to make Windows more familiar:^O

I'm managing ok,having found lots of 'hotkeys' that are quicker than using the cursor to prod about looking for the 'charms' and to close things. I still really don't like it though!
Been over to see dragon daughter yesterday. Took a (well-wrapped) sofa over on our trailer,to replace one sagging rather, and shredded by cats. Fine all week until we loaded up, then rain all day both sides of the country -typical!
11-05-2013 7:58 PM
Ooo, at least you are making some progress,:-D so that's not too bad for you Dragon.
Yes, typical of this weather to choose a day when it would have been best to be sunny for you.
Such a change in weather over my side of the hill too.
Cold, then rain, then sun, for 5 minutes, then back to the start again.:-(
