A summer Pastime by Beau Lingreen

When my knees were still working,i used to cut the green at the local Con club.42metres by 42 metres.Afterwards i would join the more sociable members for a few ends and a few beers. It was generally agreed that with my large hands,a heavier bowl was the way ahead. So i purchased a set and found them o.k but the finger and thumb holes were a distraction. The Con club has since been knocked down and turned into a care home.A new Con club was built and a new green.Unfortunately it could only measure 25 x 25 and i don't think i've seen anyone play on it. Six tins of Carling and Coronation Sreet tonight. Now that's what i call living it up.!!!

Waiting For The Weather To Decide What It Wants To Do By Wynn D. Daye

... So strange how the weather was earlier Lindum. Heavy in the sky as if rain or thunder would come any minute. It was like that for several hours. Not even a tweet from any birds, no puff of a breeze. No the sun is out, not too warm, but I am pleased about that for the coolness.  16C. Woman Very Happy

Dry As A Wrestler's Jockstrap by Wendy Raincame

We had about ten minutes of very light rain here in the Midshires.Trouble is,it left sandy deposits all over peoples cars.My Renault is gold coloured so looks like the cleanest car in the road, but my deep blue Tigra looks like the result of 3 year old's imagination at the nursery school art exhibition !
