yeast....

is it possible to knock out yeast? I have a bread mix which I want to use with other flours to make dog biscuits but of course I don't want them rising!!!

is there a way?

I'm pretty sure you can kill it and stop it rising by using very hot/boiling water to mix.

I am sure that would kill the yeast, but wouldn`t you end up with pork pie pastry

Maybe you could cook it immediately before it has a chance to rise?

yeast....

I'd second using water hotter than recommended to kill the yeast. Also if they do start to rise, giving the baking tray a sharp tap should knock the rise out of them I would think Cat Wink
