Welsh oh yeah I see what you mean now.
I wouldn't have a clue how to do that with crochet ?:|
Huggles idea sounds good though, or just experiment with it 🙂

Mandymoosie, I will put some pictures of my glass fusing on here, but at the moment my
computer and camera are involved in a long-standing disagreement and will not do what's necessary!
I've just been cutting glass all afternoon, didn't cut myself. When I'd finished, I cut myself on the armchair. Don't ask! It wasn't an escaped shard of glass either, well unless the shard can jump out of the room and go round corners LOL!

Welshy, you need to work out your gauge to alter size of a pattern.
Crochet a gauge square so that you can work out how many stitches to 4" or 10cm both across and down.
So if it was 20 stitches to 4" and you need your garment to be 16", you would do 4 x 20 = 80 stitches.
That's how it works in knitting so I'm pretty sure it will transfer to crochet.

There's a website called "Attic 24" - it's run by a lovely lady who crochets the most beautiful things in the most wonderful colours. She's a mum with young children and often posts pictures of her beautiful home and surroundings which is full of colour and love.
Her crochet instructions are really easy to understand, so easy that even I have mananged to crochet more than a meant-to-be-granny-square that turns into a tube-like thingy!
Just looking at this lady's website cheers me up on a dull day!
I am doing a glass fusing class at the moment and I am totally addicted! I'm making little glass things whenever I get the chance - little bits of jewellery and miniature scenes, animals and flowers. Thing is, if it goes wrong, nobody knows as I can just say it's abstract!
WOW this lady is truly amazing, you are right fishy it would cheer any dull day up in more ways than one! I just love the easter wreath.

Well, I went to the Range today, and got totally carried away in there! Loads of wool, and even bought some knitting needles :^O I have some wool that I find impossible to crochet with, as I can't find the loops in it, so will knit a little cardigan instead 🙂
I think I am turning into my Grandma, not my Mum :^O
