haha petal,

my first aid kit is very handy as I have many accidents with my glue gun, bosch oscillating tool and the glorious stanley knife.

Hi, there was a thread on FHG on this very subject, it depends what you want it to do, mine is a Vax & steams carpets & floors but some will do both these & come apart to be used for windows , ovens, tiles etc,

Wasn't impressed with mine so gone back to the old mop and bucket for the kitchen floor (textured matt cream and slate tiles)...

I think you have to keep going over textured floors , which does defeat the object so I can understand your point, I got mine because of the dogs , ( muddy paws) I also went back to the mop & bucket but use my steamer once a week just to be sure, I think it's probably just that I feel the hot steam is killing bugs & I'm sure it is but I know what you mean.

Absolutely love mine. Mine comes apart so you can clean cookers windows etc. Ideal with the dogs just get it out mop and put away on rainy days. It dries almost instantly. It is good for ironing jackets as well. Definitely wouldn't be with out it.

I got a Beldray 5 in 1 & love it. So quick & easy on the kitchen floor & conservatory, better than an ordinary mop & handy for giving the upholstery a quick once over without making it to wet. Just wish that 'she who borrowed it' would return it.
