Oh cookie she is gorgeous - mine (bought in November) lost its flowers just after Christmas. How did you get it to flower again?

That's lovely Cookie. We've got quite a few plants - mainly outdoor ones - but we've never had an orchid.

Lovely Orchid pic , i love them they are such pretty colours & patterns .
I have 3 on my windowsill that keep on flowering each year without me doing anything more than watering , when i remember.
One of mine was blue but when its flowered again its white so i think the colour was achieved by food coloring .

They are dyed Von. Amy wanted a blue one for christmas. Strange thing for a nine year old to want! lol I prefer the more natural looking ones. I have a gorgeous mauvy pink one in bloom but the light is too bad to take a pic. My white one is 'resting'.

We used to dye daffodils when the children were young. We separated them into milk bottles and put different colors in each one before bringing them together again.
This orchid has a few weeks with flowers and a few weeks without. I once had one that was in flower constantly for about 4 or 5 years!!

If you want to "hurry them up", grab some of that orchid food (might be BabyBio? Comes in a pink bottle, anyway...) and upend in the compost - I always thought it was a waste of money, until I saw what it did to one my mother had been given that hadn't reflowered after 2 years (green fingered friend stepped in). The other thing - if you're repotting, make sure to again use a clear pot: orchids need their roots to be able to get to the light...
