that pesky sparrow hawk has been at it again...he ate a chaffinch the other day and yesterday he had a siskin:_| he's scoffing one or more a day!!!!

any ideas how to deter him from this, I know he has his own chicks to feed but I'd rather he didn't catch the ones who think our garden is a safe haven....

Seagulls with their buckets of fishy paint ? :_|

We had a woodpecker visit us at the house we lived in when our children were small. It caused a lot of laughter by persistently 'drilling' on the metal climbing frame: the noise!!!!!! :^O:^O

Yep! Lot's of fishy paint! I do also have Wrens, Sparrows, Blackbirds, Blue Tits, Starlings, Magpies,Doves, Wood Pigeons, Robins and a Goldfinch.:-)

that's nice Maggie...

we've seen 26 species in our garden here, can't believe it really, so many! there are 3 seagulls here that sit on the church spire I have no idea why they do that, when they could be with their mates a couple of miles further west on the estuary:^O
