i am not strongly religeous person but ask i all who are please say a prayer of hope for me my brother is missing, his girl-friend got out safely
i am sitting here 400 miles away frustrated with tears running down my face praying and hoping against hope it is a nightmare and i'll wake up
my instinct is to catch the first plane i can but realistically apart from sit with my nieces there is nothing i can do i'll find out in the morning what the police say the girls are meeting then about 9.00 i am their only relative their mum died of cancer 8yr ago they are just early 30's
sorry for going on and rambling i've got thoughts going round my head as i try and make sense of it all

fiona, hopefully he is lying in hospital being treated for injuries and at the moment unidentified because they were more interested in treating him than identification.
I am not religious but my thoughts are with you at this horrendously harrowing time because you must feel so frustrated being so many miles away in the islands.

Fiona I am thinking about you and hope that RC is right and that he is in hospital being treated.
It is such a tragic accident to happen at any time of the year....but just before christmas makes it even worse.
My thoughts and prayers are with you x

thanks all feeling a wee bit calmer now
still no word
they are not going to try and lift the helecopter body till to-morrow morning
from what i can gather they could have removed it bit by bit but the civil aviation over-ruled that and wanted it removed in one piece not at all bothered that there might be survivers trapped underneath no matter how slim a chance any survivors have/had i think they should have removed the helecopter as fast and as safely as they could and to hell with wanting to inspect the body to find out why it happened they could always have put it back together
