birthdays

my OH wouldn't make a fuss when he has his birthday...I on the other hand, love them, can't wait for the cards etc. and cake!!

do you celebrate your birthday in style or choose to ignore them?

Re: birthdays

I like to celebrate my birthday. OH is like yours, he thinks it's just another day.

It's my birthday this week. OH doesn't eat out. I'm going out for a meal with my friend, it's her birthday too on the same day Smiley Happy and making cakes to take to work Smiley Happy

Re: birthdays

I try to ignore my birthdays. My OH likes having a fuss made of his and insisted I had a 'surprise' party for my last one. It was supposed to be a secret but I realised what was going on a couple of weeks in advance. I just warned the guests I knew and made sure they would not bring gifts.

Re: birthdays

As none (even as a child) of my birthdays have been celebrated I do not do birthdays as it is just the same as it has always been ! just another day. My OH is more or less the same but I always buy her a card and a gift.

Re: birthdays

I quite like celebrating my birthday.  I don't celebrate as much as I used to do when I was younger.  As DC says, it's just another day after all.

Re: birthdays

I think easter & christmas etc are just 'another day' but birthdays are special to the person whose birthday it is. That's how I feel anyway.:)

Re: birthdays

Easter & Christmas are special to me because of the meaning to the faith of some people but birthdays are just another day to me.
