the glenfinnan viaduct??
come on, its on Harry Potter!!
then he goes over Glasgow, George square and you see the city chambers (which incidentally has the statue of liberty in minature on the top)
I'm not Scottish, but I recognised virtually all of them!
Did I see Eilene Doonan Castle in there? Pretty sure I saw Edinburgh Castle as well. I got the first one as well, but I've forgotten what it was already - I'll look again and post in a minute what I think it is.
There's a mistake in the George Square part - I could not see the mandatory traffic cone on the statue at the south west corner...
By the way - that's the wrong locomotive shown on Glenfinan Viaduct in the advert - that's an A4 class which would be eyebrow raisingly unusual on that line! Not even sure if one has ever been along there at all.

Ah, yes, that's the rotary boat lift on the canal isn't it?

tis indeed Petery
the Falkirk wheel
You are talking about The Duke of Wellington statue on Royal Exchange square outside the GOMA?
The council are wanting to raise him to stop the traffic cones
as if!
21-12-2013 1:07 AM
I thought they said last month they'd abandoned the plan to raise him because they realised it wouldn't stop it from happening and would just make it more dangerous?
21-12-2013 1:11 AM
i didnt see
it was a silly idea
its not exactly small just now
they would still have done it, and like you said, more dangerous
i dont really know who "they" are
but i remember him having a cone when i was a little girl

Merlin - how can you claim to be Scottish and never have climbed up to put a traffic cone on the Iron Duke - used to be a "rite of passage".

CB, your mum and dad did not tell you the truth ! You are either named after an island about 15 miles off the coast of Girvan or a mental hospital a wee bit further north up the road

It's obvious then isn't it!!!
You know your mother hated water capt, your dad would never have got her in a boat to get across to that island!!!
I love your name though. Who wouldn't love to be called LUNGA!!
