For me I am having a home made chinese mushroom curry with prawn crackers and spring rolls. Teenager having pork and apricot casserole (left over from last week and frozen in the meantime). Plenty of doorstop bread to mop up all the juices.

Chinese for us too, Kung Po chicken with noodles and prawn crakers.

Aahh bless, are you allowed to bring in takeaway or are you still in isolation, Stroppy chatted up the Doctors and they brought food in for her.

Poor you Carol. You need good nutrition to get better. Shame they seem to ignore this fact in hospitals.

I wonder if you could contact James Martin about the food there Rainy. He is supposed to be sorting out some of the hospitals on their food. Sending hugs hun. xxxx

Carol - I also order from the local takeaways.
I am back incarcerated with another kidney infection, back to the cocktail of anti-biotics.
Freind has brought home-made (jewish) chicken soup with home-made bread.

We had breaded cod and mushy peas.
Glad to see you posting again Carol. I agree that you need some proper food to make you feel better. Must admit that when my mum's been in hospital over the last couple of years, the food has been good. I was at the hospital when she was having her tea and she had ham salad followed by trifle. I had the tomatoes from the salad and I also nabbed the trifle and very nice it was as well. I had already had a couple of sandwiches from one of the shops at the hospital. Must admit that the choice of food at our hospital is good.
Sorry that you're back in hospital Stroppy. Hope that you soon feel better.

Best wishes to rainy and stroppy. XX.
When I was in the NHS hospital the food smelled too awful to even try it! In the private hospital it was lovely. Troble is, came out of NHS having lost half a stone, came out of the private having put on half a stone!
Tonight I had home made beef stew and HOME MADE BREAD ROLLS!!!! He had tinned lentil soup and rolls. Then we both had blackcurrant cheesecake. (not home made).

Methinks that we are lucky with the food at our hospital then. It's one thing they can get right.
