can someone come on these boards, ask a question and receive answers which people have spent time, thought and care in compiling and not bother to respond to let us know if we helped or not?
What happened to good manners?

Some people have them, others don't.
Dot let 'em get you down!

Sadly some people are just a little thoughtless.
Unless it was a rhetorical question.

Yes I can well understand your thoughts on this. Several times I have read where someone has asked for help, on the buyers/sellers boards. Such very thoughtful help was given, links and suggestions, only for the OP not to come back to those threads to even say 'Thank you'. Shame of course that happens.
A few times I have asked for help, and I got it, so fast, and very informative. I showed my gratitude in thanking all involved.

You mean like the OP??? LOL

I used to welcome newbies who posted a thread saying "HI" but if that's all they say, I don't bother any more. Call me cynical (go on - I love it) but I do check the date they were registered to post and it's often that day, which leads me to believe it's someone already established having a wind-up

Its the same when you sell an item, send it the next day, well packed and inform buyer its on its way.
A month later, still NO feedback.

chickengrandma, I always come back to my posts - just not immediatley as I do have other things to do.
I am talking about those who have not responded after a week or more.
How long does it take to click on the 'solved' button and say thanks.
As others have said - people today are just too busy to remember manners.
What goes around comes around?
