Bought a stick steam cleaner that you can use as a handheld, in the sale, bargain.

Just used it on my oven which was filthy after Christmas, not my favourite job and I wasn't looking forward to it. Well I went and picked up the steamer at 10.30 came back worked out what was what and put it all together, used it in the oven, WOW sparkling and it's not a new oven, then I put it over the kitchen floor, lobby floor, and downstairs loo, by 11.30 I had done the lot, with a break in the middle to prepare the tea.

Why oh Why didn't I get one before.........................

I got a second hand one before Christmas but I think my oven was a bit too baked on for it to clean it completely but it did make a difference. Cleaned up the cooker hood a treat.

I had a steam cleaner for the floor for our last home, it was fab, had the floors cleaned in no time. I can't use it here on this floor, so I sold it to my mate.

I really must get the oven cleaned here but it's so low down I'll have to get OH to clean the bottom of it. I have one of those silicone sheets on the bottom and it keeps it easy to wash that, but it's the sides on this that need cleaning. yuk.

Cooorr oh i never knew you could use them on ovens,,, thats a good idea Ed. i might do that with mine.

Patch this one cost me £32.00 with my vouchers and staff discount and it's original price was £149. they reduced it to £79 so I got a real bargain.  My cooker looks great not like new because it is 10 years old but 100% better than it did. which isn't hard because I hate doing that job, as I have to bend over and it kills my back.

Its is one of the ones you take apart and it has all sorts of attachments, not the one off the TV the annoying one that gets advertised every five minutes it's a V*X one.

The one I bought has a big tank on it & all the attachments. It was a bargain from a local lady who was moving house. I paid £25 for it. I have a built in eye level oven so it's easier to clean. I will give it another go to get the bad bits an extra steam.

We have a steam floor mop picked up in the sales for £25  very good it is too , i got it as im getting bothered  by chemical in cleaning prducts  now my lungs are worse .   Cleaning lady hasnt seen it yet

I usually have to mop the floor a couple of times a day when it is raining with 2 muddy dogs and 2 men in the house it gets filthy, it literally took me 15 mins start to finish, easy peasy.  No bleach no flash brilliant it will save me money anyway.

Looking at different models of  robot hoovers, anyone got one? we have thick pile carpets so any tips would be appreciated.

I use my hand held one to defrost the freezer not often but when you open it and find this you know it is time to sort it out

Hmmm not sure ...................... could be a shaggy hoover or a robot with piles

 I didnt like to write the name roomba:) we have 2 shag pile rugs but deep pile carpet.
