For various reasons we've got out of our usual routine this week so we're having our Tuesday chicken dinner today.  Ooh I remember why we didn't have it Tuesday, hubby forgot to get the chicken out of the freezer!:^O

Some sort of pasta I expect....or a jacket potato. The family have left my cupboards bare! lol

My son is having lamb stew (probably served in a loaf of bread which is great for mopping up the gravy) and I am have vegetarian chilli (lovely and hot) with boiled rice......cant wait 🙂

we had ours at lunchtime...well, 3pm by the time we got home and cooked it!

fish, crispy slices and peas. OH had his pear crumble and I had a wee piece of my friends birthday cake...I cut off the icing first though...I is a good coo:-D

we just had sweet n sour king prawn balls

beef and mushroom in black bean sauce.

egg fried rice

stir fry veg and prawn crackers

courtesy of a good Chinese take away.

and it was lush.:-D

I did burgers (mixture of beef and pork mince with other tasty seasonings) No horsemeat in sight, honest!

Salad, coleslaw and straw chips (the only thing not home-made were the buns)!

What are straw chips?

Really, really thin chips cut from potatoes (you can only do it in the food processor). Then squeeze out all the excess water in an old clean teatowel (it has to be an old one, as the potato starch stains it black - I have one I keep specially for the job!) Then fry on quite a high heat, so they become like little crispy matchsticks.

My son does not like potatoes of any kind (even normal chips) - but he will eat these

Also, he will eat potatoes cut like that, then shaped into a little patty and fried.
