What's everyone been doing today?

We've been out for our lunch today and we had a good mooch around town.  Mum bought herself a skirt and a top.  She also bought me a top as well.  CB would love it as it's purple.

very quiet day today as didn't get much sleep last night. Just a quick trip to the supermarket and a bit of washing done, then spent rest of the day reading. The dog is a little more mobile today so I have relaxed a bit as I don't have to make the decision today, but he had me up half the night as he wanted cuddles!! His legs are failing and he also has dementia so is a bit difficult to care for these days, also he is being rather spoiled and is taking full advantage of it, hence the half hourly cuddles he demanded all night!

Bit of shopping then lots of baking s been told to rest and that relaxes me ,

1 banana loaf
24 red velvet cupcakes

some choc chip cookies
and a walnut bread (of which I have already pinched a slice whilst it was still warm from the oven )

What's everyone been doing today?

So far today, I have:

  • Argued with our phone / broadband provider (the one that starts with V), and insisted that they refund me the amount that they have over-charged me because some-one at their end didn't do their job properly.
  • Finished off some bits for mdcc, did my mdcc listings and scheduled them for tomorrow.
  • Did someinternet shopping for bits for father's day, O.H.'s birthday, and son-inlaw's birthday.
  • Argued with our phone / broadband provider about the amount that they overcharged me on the April bill. Finally got them to agree to credit me immediately and reduce the amount that they will be taking from our bank account in June.
  • Argued with my mobile phone provider about faulty item that was returned. They charged me £7.50, but only refunded £7.25.
  • Did some more work on my stuff for the summer swap.
  • Did a feedback form about our most recent Internet shop from A**a.
  • Wrote cheques (yes, I still use cheques) to pay some bills
  • Studied the manual for my new car.
  • coughed, sneezed and spluttered repeatedly.

In garden - painted my hanging baskets - 2 red and 2 brown stain - hammerited the chains and the brackets - refreshed soil in 3 bonny evergreen comnifers I love - dug hole for new clematis going in up black obelisk - planted up 2 pots of Acidenthera (bulb, gladiioli family - tender so don't put in ground and overwinter in garage).  She grows to 3' is white with purple centre and smells divine.

Fell over - need a Michelin man suiit and now have the body to fit it - lol - can't break any bones or in big trouble - flamin heck.  Made 2 new friends - walking up the road they saw me fall.  I was painting the red basket at the time and the girl was saying 'OMG God Bryan, all that blood - which I thought very funny'.  Anyway they live locally so made a tray of tea and we all sat on the front steps in the sun with chocolate hob nobs.  Poor guy is bi-polar, told me when I told him about me (and why I fall over).  Been retired since he was 47 - what a terrible thing to have.

Got 'nacked and came in, pot of tea to myself, then drill out and put up 2 tiebacks on curtains in dressing room - only had them for - oooooh 2 years - like the effect.  Had dinner, now sitting on bum - tired and getting ready to go to bed - wee bit morphine for my sore bits.  You're right Ailsa, I don't get bored - but I was a great traveller - got to get to Yorhshire, Derbyshire and Wales and meet some of you fabby folk - bucket list wish.  Not bad I suppose for someone told to rest and do nothing - what an absolute bore - can you imagine?????  Bleurgh.

Sweet dreams all - night night xxx.Tiebacks 002.JPG
