We Are Having A Great Big Thunderstorm

It's gone incredibly dark, massive claps of thunder and streaks of

lightening and it's absolutely pouring down.

My ginger cat has boldly gone marching out the door and sat under

the bushes.

My tabby cat is sitting on my son with huge beady eyes (the cat that

is, not son), very agitated by it all.

it odd here atm, blue one side of the house looking seaward

inland has grey , darker grey  clouds,  very warm 25 car said as we came from tesco

big fat splots of rain  til we got home and everything is dry here,  i think the tide is out, so it may all change soon

And I won't have to water the veg tonight again as a bonus 🙂

We might get it, but it's more likely we won't.  The gardener has just arrived and the first thing she's doing is watering!!  This is what the sky looks like right this minute!

I've finally been able to catch some worms for our pet newts.  They have been living on aphids and caterpiilars for ages

Lovely sunny day here, but a stiffish breeze.

We had heavy rain all day yesterday, and heavy showers on Wednesday.

Still very muggy here but a bit cooler than yesterday.  Storm still hanging around.

Oh Elph, I'm jealous of you having pet newts, I like newts and lizards.

I had to put the hose on bubbles for the fish this morning as they didn't

seem to have enough oxygen, even though the pond is full of oxygenating

plants.  I think we'll have to go and get them a pump later.  Apparently

the stormy weather takes the oxygen from their water but not sure how.

We had lots of thunder, some lightning (I suppose) but two short showers.  The gardener is still here and didn't have to stop, but we lost t'internet for a couple of hours.

oooh I love a good thunderstorm, but we aren't getting them here at all! just a bit of rain overnight but it doesn't hit the pots and water them, they look awful...that reminds me I better get out and do the front ones, poor plants!

Night night CB.

We've not had a thunder storm for all of about a week.   We had a short sharp shower earlier on and that's about it.  I went to the doctors at 2 to pick up some prescriptions and the car was telling me that it was 29 degrees.

Anyway, I'm off to bed as I am tired.  Not saying I'll sleep much as I have so much going on at the moment.

Had a cracker of a storm last night and the rain was like a deluge. One minuite, NOTHING. Next i wondered what the noise was and it was the rain. Went on about an hour.  People actually walking out in it,,, CRAZYYYYYY

We had a storm like that last Saturday night.  It couldn't get to sleep due the noise of the rain.  We have more rain forecast for tomorrow.

#15, that sounds like the same storm we had at midnight last night.  Fast moving one from the south west heading north east; short burst of intense rain and then lightning going off every 5 seconds or so.  We're in Epsom it approached from the Guildford direction and headed off over London; are you on that track?
