WEDNESDAY'S tea thread

Being really really lazy today. I am off into town in a minute until about 5.30 so just as an absolute treat I shall get myself a subway on the way home. Veggie pattie on hearty Italian bread with lettuce, tomatoes, sweetcorn, onion and jalapenos with southwest chipotle sauce. Cant wait.

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

Re: WEDNESDAY'S tea thread

Ha ha! That's how I plan my menu too! Plus a big freezer for when there's plenty of mince or chicken or other such stuff reduced

Re: WEDNESDAY'S tea thread

Two freezers for me, One for freebies from relys and friends, ice cream, veggies and bread, the other one for Meat, Pheasant from the local shoot, fish the OH caught and cheapies from the reduction cabinet.  Also the odd bottle of milk and orange juice. If we have bad weather we don't need to panic we could eat for ages without going out, unless we run out of chocklit and then I send OH out in his snow shoes.

Wouldn't be without them now, both in the garage so out of the way.

Re: WEDNESDAY'S tea thread

Feta Cheese and Caremlised Onion Quiche (in the oven cooking at the moment) and for afters it will be apple and plum crumble.  It is blowing a gale and the apples are falling off the tree, so I thought I would make use of them.

Re: WEDNESDAY'S tea thread

I was really naughty.  I caved in and had chilli con carne and a cob of corn.  The friend I'm going to see isn't much of a hostess, lovely woman, but not too good on the refreshments.  She usually gives us a cherry tomato and a twiglet.Smiley Sad  And even worse, I don't even like twiglets!! Smiley Surprised

Re: WEDNESDAY'S tea thread

We have two freezers. One in the kitchen for things like peas and one in the garage for bulk bought meat. We also have four fridges in the kitchen which is ridiculous! Big American one where the fridge has veg. fruit, beer and tonic, one that has mostly sauces/ingredients like mayo, and one that has cheese, eggs milk and fresh meat/fish. Anyone guess what lives in the fourth fridge?
