have been taken to London for an inquest and post mortem.
Now yes I know it is a legal requirement for a post mortem when a sudden death occurs but in this instance surely this could be forgone !
The families of these tragic victims have surely gone through enough and will be wracked with grief and horror with which their dear departed were so cruelly taken from them.
Can they not be left to lay their loved ones to rest without all this legal red tape ?

Could it be because of Insurance Policies?
I mean, some of the victims must have had Life Insurance Policies. These might make a distinction between the causes of death. For example, whether it was due to natural causes, ie old age, or by getting shot by a terrorist.
This could affect the pay-out on the Policies. Hence the need for a post-mortem, to establish cause of death.

In my opinion the fact that all were on a beach enjoying themselves when a gunman appeared and fired bullets into them and they latterly ceased breathing would be indication enough for me to establish the cause of death.
Maybe the fact they were alive and the presence of bullet holes is not enough for the doctors to establish the cause.

That's subjectively true Dark, but how can the presence of bullet holes be objectively established, without a forensic post-mortem examination of the corpse?
